Botswana certainly was a special one in terms of finding a suitable flying area for flying a balloon as most of southern Botswana has very spiky bushes which are not benign to balloon fabric (nor to any bare legs or arms!). Luckily we found a small village with a few bits of open land and after a fantastic 20mins flight over the village I managed to land in the only grass area which was the local sports field. People here certainly have never seen a balloon and will probably never see one again. We enjoyed a very warm welcome and entertained the entire village with our burner!
