Allie has just completed a four countries journey taking her single-seater ‘hopper’ around Uganda, Rwanda, Burundi and Tanzania.

This journey was extremely challenging as facing many hurdles gaining official flight permissions, refueling the balloon cylinders, finding suitable flying areas, dealing with unpredictable weather conditions, tedious border crossings, battling with harsh road conditions and many other unforeseen issues.

Nevertheless, the 5 weeks expedition resulted in stunning flights over National Parks, small airfields and beautiful rural countryside meeting many excited local people along the way.

It was also a great pleasure to demonstrate the balloon to schools and orphanages!
